New Classics Blogs

In the last few weeks, the number of Classics blogs known to me has doubled. Besides Curculio and David Meadows' Rogue Classicism, we now have Debra Hamel's Blogographos and Josephine No-Last-Name's The Virtual Tophet. The latter's blogroll has an amusing typographical error: it links to "Rouge Classicism". I've never met David Meadows, but I'm fairly sure he's neither a Bolshevik nor a user of cosmetics.

I wonder how many Classics blogs there will be by the end of the year (the calendar year, I mean). My guess: at least a dozen. If there were a contest to pick the precise number, I would pick 14 as the most likely number.

I'm a 'red' at 'in principio erat verbum', which almost qualifies as a classics blog at time as well ... vide: http://infernoxv.blogspot.com/ Posted by: rogueclassicist at May 23, 2004 09:45 AM
Not a classics blog per se, but a new blog by an atrophying classicist: I couldn't help myself and created a personal blog, cleverly entitled deblog (http://deblog.blogographos.com). Posted by: Debra Hamel at June 13, 2004 09:34 PM
This blog was the dumbest shit I ever read. You obviously do not have a fucking life! Hopefully you will not be at Cardinal Gibbons next year, or I will be forced to kill you in cold blood! Posted by: Darrool Lochart at June 24, 2004 01:29 AM
