Mathematics and Computers
- Leslie Hancock & Morris Krieger, The C Primer, VG

Idaho. Villard, New York, 2000. Cloth, As New, unopened, no remainder
mark, very handsome. Multiple copies, $2.00 each, and worth every penny.
- Matematika v SSSR za Soroklet 1917-1957, two very large
volumes of mathematical papers, 1800 pages in all, texts entirely in Russian,
many interesting-looking formulae, huge bibliography. G, no DJ: cover worn,
corners bent, contents clean and tight, though slightly browned. Free
to a good home. You pay the postage, I'll send you the books. They're
heavy, so the postage may add up to a fair amount.
Potluck:
Very Miscellaneous
- Robert Bly, Iron John: A Book About Men.
Addison-Wesley, 1990. VG/NF. Would be F except corner of last (unprinted) sheet
is bent and there is a small dent in the page edges. $0.02.
- Helen Willinsky, Jerk: Barbecue from Jamaica, a recipe
book for the serious barbecuer. Crossing Press, Freedom, California, 1990.
Paper, VG. $2.25. (If you're not interested in barbecue, just wrap
this book up in a package labeled 'Sweets for the Sweet' and give it
to your worst enemy. He or she will get the message.)
Music Books
- Rudolf Bing, 5000 Nights at the Opera, Doubleday,
1972. Cloth, cover worn and slightly bent on edges and corners. Two
spots on right edge, one going 1/4" into first 10 pages. Contents

Music Scores
- Richard Strauss, Ariadne auf Naxos, Boosey &
Hawkes, date unknown (copyright dates given as 1916 and 1943). Complete score (not piano reduction).
Bookplate of Columbia U. Music Department and 'withdrawn' stamp inside
front cover. Library card pocket, checkout lists, and 'withdrawn'
stamp inside back cover. Cloth, cover worn around edges and corners,
not entirely flat. Binding a bit loose, cracked inside in a couple of
places, but all pages still attached. Text totally clean and unmarked.
$30.00.

Mottl. Leipzig, C. F. Peters,
complete vocal score with piano reduction, 240 pages. Cover worn and
loose, spine repaired with black masking tape, stamped 'withdrawn'
inside front cover. Cloth, contents heavily marked-up in three colors
of pencil. Most of the notes seem to gloss the German text in English.
$3.00.
